This series is inspired by my love of color, water, light, and energy. It is my hope to bring a sense of well being to the viewer.

In those cultures depending on the color of the koi they can represent love, courage, success, and long life, etc. The direction the koi swim can mean overcoming obstacles, and becoming a warrior. The number of koi in a painting is also important and can be considered lucky. The two koi swimming side by side represent our life journey with another person.
